Hervé Machenaud Joins Transmutex Advisory Board
Transmutex is honored to announce that Mr. Hervé Machenaud has joined its advisory board.
Hervé is the former President of EDF's Asia-Pacific Division and a former member of the EDF Group Executive Committee.
He joined the EDF Group in 1982 as Deputy Director of Development for the Paluel nuclear power plant. He then took charge of the group's expansion in China. In 2002, Hervé was appointed Vice President of EDF Asia-Pacific in Beijing, where his mission was to strengthen the group's industrial skills, particularly nuclear, and to give it access to technological innovations in China, Japan, India and the Greater Mekong region. He has managed joint venture projects in the following sectors: nuclear (Taishan), thermal (Sanmenxia), hydro and wind power in China, Vietnam (Phu My plant) and Laos (Nam Theun dam).
He is the author of a highly praised book on the coming crisis in electricity production in France titled "France in the Dark".
Hervé is a graduate of École Polytechnique (1968), with a double Master from École des Ponts et Chaussées (1973) and the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (1973)
